Simplify your health

Here’s the simple no-nonsense formulae to good health – a bit of focus on diet and regular exercise. It’s cant get any simpler than that. Ofcourse there are few other minor things to note also.

Who is this meant for

This is not claiming to be the only way to get or stay healthy. If you follow other regiments you may still be healthy. This is also not claiming to make you a superman and it cannot overcome existing deceases or genetic disorders or dispositions i.e. it’s not magic. This is for those who are not sure what to do or for those who are not sure if their current lifestyle is healthy or not. What it promises is a lifestyle filled with energy and less visits to the doc. Do this for 1 year and you will see the results.

Focus on diet

  1. Avoid fast, fried, sweet or ultra-processed food. Lunch & dinner should contain carbs, protein, vegetables & fruits.
  2. Drinking plenty of water is key. If you need an easy way to remind yourselves to drink water, here it is – Drink a glass of water when you come indoor and after you visit the loo. If you are into coffee or tea keep it to a max of 1-2 per day. I am on 3 cups of coffee a day – lets call it my only vice.

Exercise

  1. Brisk walk, run or visit gym daily for 30 mins at least 5 days a week.
  2. If you feel like you are going to get sick, exercise will help you from falling sick. Don’t exercise if you are already sick.

Other minor things

  1. Do full body health screening once a year or once in 2 yrs
  2. Sleep 7-8 hrs at a consistent time
  3. Reduce direct exposure to sun for a healthier skin – use sunscreen and don’t be ashamed to use an Umbrella against harsh sunlight.
  4. Plan in cheat days – e.g. Once a week go for that fried chicken and a cake.
  5. Don’t take in stress – If you start loosing sleep it may be due to stress and believe me, nothing is worth loosing sleep over. Having hobbies to do when you are stressed is important.

If there is an easier way to stay healthy than the above, let me know in comments.
